Solar panel installation cost in Ireland
Installing a typical 10-panel (4.4 kWp) system costs €8,300–€9,000 before the SEAI grant. Labour is about a fifth to a quarter of that; the panels themselves are the largest share.

What can push the installation cost up
- Panels split across two or more roof faces
- Natural slate or other fragile roof coverings
- A three-storey house or difficult scaffold access
- Optimisers or microinverters to deal with shading
- A long cable run between the roof and the fuse board
- Extras such as a hot water diverter, bird protection or an EV charger
